Well, classes have started at Village Church Educational Program and I am excited about the results! Through the week we have had great attendance from our members and we have seen some community participation (albeit sparse). I am very proud of the teachers who prepared, arrived on time, and presented their subjects with joy and enthusiasm.
Here is just one experience that I was a part of:
On Monday morning we have a Healthy Living class that I wasn't too sure who was going to attend. As I was on my way out to an appointment I found a professional looking woman wondering the outside of our Church looking for an open door. I asked if I could help and she said she was looking for the classes! I was happy to show her where her class would be meeting and praised God that we were doing the work He has called us to do. Thank you!
See you Sabbath!

"Our heavenly Father waits to bestow upon us the fullness of His blessing. It is our privilege to drink largely at the fountain of boundless love. What a wonder it is that we pray so little! God is ready and willing to hear the sincere prayer of the humblest of His children, and yet there is much manifest reluctance on our part to make known our wants to God. What can the angels of heaven think of poor helpless human beings, who are subject to temptation, when God's heart of infinite love yearns toward them, ready to give them more than they can ask or think, and yet they pray so little and have so little faith? The angels love to bow before God; they love to be near Him. They regard communion with God as their highest joy; and yet the children of earth, who need so much the help that God only can give, seem satisfied to walk without the light of His Spirit, the companionship of His presence." {SC 94.1} Meeting Details: Every Sabbath Prayer Journal in the Foyer Power Hour - 8:30-9:30am Library Requests: [email protected] Contact: Eldon Blaney |
