WHO WE ARE
We are a group of bible believing professionals that love the Lord and humanity.  This Spring we are offering FREE educational and practical courses to the community.  We are inviting you to sign-up for one or more of these classes.  No strings attached, no surprises.  Classes are taught by professionals from our church and the community.

ART & ENTERTAINMENT
  • Guitar Lessons
    Have you been wanting to learn how to play the guitar? Bring your guitar on Mondays for an opportunity to receive free lessons!
    Instructor: Jethro J. Baptiste | Time: March 16 - April 27 Every Monday, 7:00pm-8:30pm
  • Radio Controlled Car/Airplane/Helicopter Club
    A hobby club for those interested in experiencing the joys radio controlled vehicles. Even if you don’t have a vehicle yet, all are invited. This club is for all ages!

  • Drawing Class
    Do you love art? Want to get together with others who love to draw? Join us for a fun hour of learning, sharing and doodling!

  • Learning Kiswahili
    Love learning new languages? The Swahili language or Kiswahili is a Bantu language and the mother tongue of the Swahili people. It is spoken by various communities inhabiting the African Great Lakes region and other parts of Southeast Africa, including Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Mozambique and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

  • Quilting – Fun and Easy!
    Learn to strip quilt and a half square triangle. What is a fat quarter and how do you stich in a ditch? You will learn about picking fabric, using tools and much more.

  • How to Play Chess for Beginners
    Chess is a two-player strategy board game played on a chessboard, a checkered game board with 64 squares arranged in an eight-by-eight grid. It is one of the world’s most popular games, played by millions of people worldwide in homes, parks, clubs, online, by correspondence, and in tournaments. In recent years, chess has become part of some school curricula. If you would like to learn this amazing game join our group on Wednesday nights!

  • Singing Class
    Do you love to sing? Come join Hannah each Saturday afternoon and sing till your heart is content!

  • Practical Singing Lessons & Tips
    Not only will you learn how to sing better, but you will learn how to use your singing to God’s glory and the uplifting of others! This class is for all, even if you think you you’re not good at singing.

  • Ladies Night Out! And In!
    Every week we will enjoy each other’s company through painting parties, spa nights, and outings. Need a night to yourself? Come out and have fun with other women in a safe, wholesome environment.

  • Vegan Cooking School
    Learn to cook healthy, wholesome meals! This is a hands on class where you will make the recipes each night giving you the courage to make that leap into vegan cooking! Many think it would be too hard to cook healthy but you will find it simple and easy. Come out and try it!

  • Healthy Living
    We do not realize how much of our health is connected with what we eat. In this class we will learn to use herbs, fruits, vegetables, and live foods to enhance and improve our health.

  • The 8 Principles of Health
    Cathy will present eight principles for restoring and preserving health: Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunshine, Temperance, Air, Rest, Stress Relief. We will spend a little time on genetically modified foods, label reading, cancer, overcoming addiction, and home remedies. Some handouts will be available!

  • 12 Laws of Health
    God’s plan for our health. There’s 12 laws that can keep you righteously healthy.

  • God’s Nature Walk
    Ready to make friends and get some exercise at the same time? Join our walking group each Saturday afternoon to enjoy a spiritual/physical blessing!

  • Learn to Read
    Would you like to learn to read? Come join this interesting class and walk away feeling confident in your ability!

  • How to Prepare Your Tax Returns
    Want to learn how to prepare your own tax returns? Humberto has more than 20 years of experience and he is approved by the IRS to prepare electronic returns. Even if you have already filed your 2014 return this class will make you better prepared for next year!

  • IT Helpdesk
    Have problems with your computer? Want to learn a few simple tricks to help you maximize the performance of your machine every time you use it. For the next 10 weeks, we will provide I.T. help desk to troubleshoot your computer problems and to also provide some helpful tips for maintaining the computer for as long as possible.

  • Smartphone 101
    This class is for those who have purchased a smartphone but do not understand the features of the phone or are having trouble using it. It’s also for those who are new to the smart phone world and would like to learn more on how they work. This class is truly for the smart phone beginner. Bring your phone, a positive attitude, and a notepad if you want to take notes.

    Preparing for your SAT’s can be daunting! Getting one-on-one help can make the difference in your score. Join this group and be better prepared to succeed!

  • Homeschool Group
    Homeschooling, also known as home education, is the education of children inside the home, as opposed to the formal settings of a public or private school. Homeschool groups were created to give children the chance to socially interact with other homeschool children. Are you a homeschool parent? Come and give it a try!

SPIRITUAL LIFE & COUNSELING

  • PARENTS PRAYER CLASS
    The challenges of parenting today are enormous. This group is for moms and dads who would like to come together for prayer and discussion of parenting issues.

  • SURVIVING PARENT CARE
    Cathy will present some of her experiences in caring for her aging mother at home and in the hospital and nursing home. She will help you begin, steer you toward resources, give hints and encouragement, laugh and cry with you. Some topics are: communication, medications, helping your parent improve and maintain their health, caregiver burnout, forgiveness, Medicare, fun things to do with your parents. Whether your parent is just beginning to need a little extra help, or you are in the thick of it now, or your parent has passed away and you are still healing, bring your questions and your experiences to share with others.

  • WOMEN'S MINISTRY BIBLE STUDY
    Ladies! An interactive Bible Study using video/workbook. “Children of the Day” is a look at 1 & 2 Thessalonians with author/speaker Beth Moore. Come and be blessed!

  • MARRIAGE
    Guys, would you like to know how to make your wife happy? Are you tiptoeing through life wondering when your wife is going to be hurt by something you say, do, or don’t do? The Bible holds the answers to your questions. It is possible to make your wife happy (and she is not crazy)! Join us each Wednesday night (and bring your wife) to learn from God’s word how to make good choices for a good marriage!

SOCIAL

  • PATHFINDERS
    Pathfinders is a movement that aims to support young people in their physical, mental and spiritual development, that they may play constructive roles in society, with a strong focus on the outdoors and survival skills. Similar to Scouts, Pathfinders is more spiritual in nature including Bible lessons as part of its overall structure. Bring your 10 - 15 year old boy or girl on Saturday afternoons to give them a fun, learning experience.
